1.Download SMS backup and restore from play store.It is free to download.
2.After installing this app open it.

3.Now click “Backup”.Then click ok.
4.You will see a string like “Sms-1589671.xml”.This is the name of your sms backup.Now change the name of this backup to “mysms.xml”.
5.Then click ok.Wait for few seconds and all your sms messages will be backed up to this directory sdcard>SMSBackupRestore.
6.You can check that your sms backup named “mysms.xml” will be present in this folder.
7.Now you need to plug your android phone to your pc in storage mode via usb cable.Then copy files from sdcard>SMSBackupRestore folder to your desktop.
8.You will find two files in this folder one is “mysms.xml” and other is “sms.xsl”.You need to copy both these files in a folder on your desktop.
9.Now right click on “mysms.xml” and select “open with” then choose internet explorer or Mozilla firefox browser.This file won’t run in google chrome.
10.When you open this file in Mozilla firefox or internet explorer you will see your sms messages in an organized way which are easy to read.A screenshot is given below.
